Purpose
CopyrightArt operates a registry for visual copyright records. Each registration produces a contemporaneous, cryptographically timestamped record of ownership, designed for use in platform enforcement proceedings and judicial filings.
The Record
Every approved registration is issued against a unique certificate code and generates:
- A public verification page stating the declared rights holder, work title, registration date, and file-integrity hash.
- A tamper-evident PDF certificate containing the verification URL and a machine-readable QR code.
- A persistent verification URL suitable for citation in DMCA takedown notices and legal filings.
Verification Standards
All submissions are reviewed before issuance of a certificate of record. The registry does not substitute for formal copyright registration with national authorities but provides contemporaneous evidence of declared authorship that is independently verifiable.
Who It Serves
The registry is used by photographers, illustrators, graphic designers, studios, and rights-management organizations that require a stable, third-party record of authorship for digital visual works.
